SONS OF PIRATES / THE BIG BUFFETT BEACH BAND

This large band with horns, percussion, drums, bass, keyboards, and multiple guitars is the complete Jimmy Buffett experience. The Sons of Pirates first launched as a Buffett tribute group, but has grown to also include the Big Buffett Beach Band.

A Tribute to the Piano-Men: Jerry Lee, Elton, Joel and more!

Josh Christina and The Revivals is a high energy rock and roll band paying tribute to the musical journey of rock and roll piano. The band covers everything from Jerry Lee Lewis to Elton John, Ray Charles to Billy Joel and more. They are fronted on keys and lead vocals by Josh Christina who has performed all over the world on land and on sea, headlining several shows on several major cruise lines. Josh Christina and The Revivals is a band that knows how to rock and has gotten audiences from all over to rock out to their high-octane performances.

Who doesn’t love New York City at Christmastime?

The store windows dressed and decorated and in the air there’s a feeling of Christmas! In December 2025, NYC comes to Anne Arundel County, and our local theater gem, the Hammonds Lane Theatre at the Chesapeake Arts Center! Our Christmas show is just like gazing into elaborately decorated store windows and visiting festive holiday trees, with all your favorite music from shows that have a theme of Christmas, joy, peace, and love! Our festive production features local professionals, community and student performers collaborating under the direction of Professor Douglas Brandt Byerly, aka BigDougieB, and gives you the opportunity to experience the great energy of Broadway and NYC with a stress-free local show. Suitable for families and children. Santa will be in the house!

229TH ARMY BAND

The 229th Army Band, proudly designated as “The Adjutant General’s Own,” is the premier military musical organization of the Maryland Army National Guard. With a lineage tracing back to 1917, the band has served the state and nation through war, peace, and transformation—standing as a vital link between the military and the public through the power of music. Headquartered in Parkville, Maryland, the 229th Army Band is composed of highly trained Soldier-Musicians who serve both as professional instrumentalists and capable National Guard Soldiers. As ambassadors of the Maryland National Guard, the band performs hundreds of missions annually, supporting a broad array of military, state, and civic functions.

Groovalicious will take you back to those care free days of bell bottoms and platforms. Disco balls and glitter. Clams on the half shell and roller skates. Playing all the hits from the decade of boogie and the dance floor at Studio 54, Groovalicious is the perfect tribute for any theater, club, corporate event, wedding or party. We are Groovalicious the ultimate disco revival and we are bringin boogie back! Baby!

Performing Arts & Cultural Events in Maryland

Maryland Concert Series (MCS) is dedicated to cultivating a vibrant cultural community where the arts thrive. We bring live performing arts to Anne Arundel County and the State of Maryland. We are an all-volunteer, community based, non-profit organization. MCS provides a wonderful opportunity for family and friends to enjoy a wonderful evening together with minimum expense.
